I’ve always loved power and electricity. As a kid, I was always taking apart old radios and various electronics my dad had brought home from his work at Intel. I was always building a PC or taking apart a toaster somewhere in our garage.

Growing up outside Portland, my family often went camping around the Pacific Northwest. I’ve always loved the outdoors. I think you kinda have to if you live here, otherwise, you might end up with few friends :).

When I acquired this site in the spring of 2020 from its founder, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Make it the best resource on the internet for anything generator or large power related. While I may not review small power banks for cell phones, anything greater power-wise, I’m super interested in, and will likely try to build the best guide for here on Generator Grid.

After a 2-week boondocking trip in a teardrop camper around central Oregon this summer, I discovered battery-powered generators. I ran a freezer for two-weeks on a Jackery 1000, and a 100-watt solar panel. I cheated twice and used my gas Honda EU2200i, but if I had had my EcoFlow Delta 1300, I’m not sure I would have needed a gas generator at all! Battery technology has come a long way since I was a kid. Expect to see me cover Li-Ion or Solar Generators quite a bit going into 2021. This space is going to continue to grow.
